Sia announces new album “Reasonable Woman” and releases new song “Gimme Love”

Sia has long maintained her reputation by being a master of staying hidden in plain sight, rarely revealing her face in public. After receiving significant criticism for her 2021 film "Music," she largely retreated from the music scene, with her last music release prior to this being 2016's "This Is Acting."

However, on September 13th, Sia made her return to the music scene with the release of her latest single, "Gimme Love." This uninhibited pop track carries the sonic dynamism that fans have come to expect from her multi-platinum-certified discography. In "Gimme Love," Sia boldly articulates her desires, singing, "You don't wanna dance with me, but babe, that's what I need / Please now, just this once, dance, babe, dance, baby / You don't wanna sing with me, but babe, that's what I need / Please now, just this once, sing, baby."

Following a soaring chorus that showcases her remarkable vocal control and range, Sia earnestly implores this person to not only fight for her but also to give her the love she desires.

And there's more to look forward to, as Sia has confirmed that "Gimme Love" is just a taste of what's to come. The single is part of her upcoming album, "Reasonable Woman," set to be released in the spring of 2024. This album marks her return to solo pop after an eight-year hiatus. For collectors and fans, a limited-edition tangerine vinyl of the single is available for purchase, with only 500 copies in existence.

You can listen to the song here.

I would give this song 3 out of 4 stars.
