Peso Pluma and Grupo Firma create “Tulum”

In a powerful collaboration, the two major forces in Música Mexicana have united to create an unforgettable musical experience. Peso Pluma and Grupo Frontera have joined forces to unleash their combined talent in the form of their latest single, "Tulum." This vibrant norteño-pop track, accompanied by a visually captivating beachside video, showcases the prowess of Peso and Frontera's lead singer, Adelaido Solis.

The song tells the story of a past love interest who has moved on to a new partner who doesn't truly understand her. Solis passionately sings, "Baby, this is our moment: He may have bought you a Rolex, but I gave you my time. He may have mansions, but in my humble apartment, I made you experience emotions that the fleeting wind cannot steal away."

With the lively backing of the accordion, "Tulum" presents a lighter tone compared to Pluma's previous releases, which predominantly featured corridos. This track explores Frontera's more pop-oriented side and even incorporates a subtle reference to Enrique Iglesias' popular hit "Bailando" within one of Peso's verses. The accompanying music video, directed by Abel Baez, showcases the stars serenading the lyrics at a tropical backyard party, adding to the song's vibrant atmosphere.

In a surprising twist, "Tulum" will be included as a bonus track on Pluma's LP Genesis, joining the existing 14 tracks on the album. This surprise deluxe edition is a testament to the remarkable chemistry between Peso and Frontera. The LP features other noteworthy songs like "Lady Gaga" with Gabito Ballesteros, "Rubicon," "Zapata," and "Nueva Vida."

Both Frontera and Pluma have been dominating the Hot 100 charts in recent months, solidifying their status as chart-topping artists. Frontera's collaboration with Bad Bunny, "Un x100to," reached an impressive No. 5 position, while their tracks "No Se Va," "Que Vuelvas" featuring Carin Leon, and "Bebe Dame" featuring Fuerza Régida have remained on the chart for a remarkable 20 weeks. Their consistent success reflects the unwavering popularity and impact of their music on a global scale.
