Daughtry releases new single “Artificial”

Daughtry, fronted by vocalist Chris Daughtry, recently signed a fresh record deal with Big Machine Records and has released their latest single, "Artificial."

The intense rock track serves as a cautionary message about the potential risks of artificial intelligence. Chris Daughtry elaborates, stating, "‘Artificial’ delves into the potential dystopian scenario where AI transforms into a nightmarish force, suggesting the possibility of complete replacement of everything and everyone with flawless precision, ultimately making them obsolete."

He also added, “However, the heart and soul of humanity and the ability to feel love, sadness, and compassion can never be replaced. While there are plenty of applications where AI can improve our lives and assist in many areas of creativity, I feel it’s imperative that we find a way to protect our musicians, actors, writers, and all creative outlets from being destroyed.”

The track starts off with an electric beat, piano, and electric sounds before the electric guitar drops. The lyrics that stood out is “It's digital warfare/The death of who we are is right here/It's never gonna stop/Plug into your new soul, ice cold/Mechanical (artificial)” The lyrics are powerful and it makes you think about how powerful artificial intelligence has become.
