Stockton Kings defeat the South Bay Lakers 112-102

In their home opener at Adventist Health Arena (formerly Stockton Arena), the Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, clinched a 112-101 victory against the South Bay Lakers. The Kings swiftly established an 11-point lead within the initial five minutes and concluded the first quarter with a 35-24 advantage. During the second quarter, Jordan Ford, the Kings' two-way guard, emerged as the leading scorer with 13 points, contributing to a 16-point lead for Stockton. The team shot 50% in the first half, capitalizing on 12 South Bay turnovers for 20 additional points.
Starting the second half with a 62-51 lead, the Kings extended their dominance with a 12-6 run, reaching a commanding 23-point lead in the third quarter. Stockton maintained momentum, outpacing South Bay 10-2. In the fourth quarter, a well-executed assist from Stockton Kings guard Dane Goodwin set up a powerful dunk by center Chance Comanche, securing the Kings' largest lead of the day at 25 points. Despite a late 11-3 run by South Bay, Stockton secured the win.
Jordan Ford led the Kings with an impressive performance, tallying 27 points (11-17 FG, 64.7%), six assists, nine rebounds, and one steal—marking his second consecutive 20-point performance of the season. Kalob Ledoux, making his first start of the season, recorded 16 points and four steals in 28 minutes of play, while Christian Terrell contributed 15 points and nine rebounds.
South Bay Lakers guard Maxwell Lewis recorded 19 points (7-9 FG, 77.7%), six rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Louis King added 15 points, and Scotty Pippen Jr. scored 12 points with three steals.
