Childish Gambino announces “New Word Tour”
Renowned entertainer Donald Glover will embark on a tour later in 2024, returning under his moniker Childish Gambino to promote the re-release of his album '3.15.20'. The North American leg of The New World Tour commences on August 11th in Oklahoma City, spanning until October and including stops in Detroit, Brooklyn, Washington DC, Atlanta, Tampa, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Chicago. Canadian cities on the itinerary include Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton. Special guest Willow will join the tour as support. Later in the year and into 2025, the tour will extend to Europe and Australia, accompanied by support from Amaarae.
Glover unveiled the "finished" version of his 2020 album '3.15.20' on May 13th, 2024, now titled 'Atavista'. The reissued album features guest appearances by Ariana Grande, 21 Savage, Summer Walker, and Young Nudy. In 2018, the versatile actor and rapper brought his This Is America Tour to North America, supported by Rae Sremmurd and Vince Staples. The following year, his chart-topping single 'This Is America' earned multiple Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap/Sung Performance, and Best Music Video.
